Holy God, I hate to check my friends' page...and I hate hormones. And being a girl. And having old feelings coming back.
New York updatage time!!!!!!!!
Time supposed to leave: 6:00 p.m.
Time actually left: around 7:30 or so (p.m.).
Day 1 - Got the first flat tire on bus #1 (I was on bus #3, sitting next to Sarah, in front of Tommy and Sarah sat in front of Jon Meads) 10 miles north of Trussville, which figures. Sat there about 3 hours. Watched Disney movies on the way there, and Tommy acted crazy when he wasn't reading Naruto mangas. Then...oh I can't remember. Anyway, we finally arrived in New York around eh, I can't remember. Around 1 or 2 PM I think. The bus ride there was quite fun, as implied. Saw about 30 Secret Window posters and a HUGE Lord of the Rings: Return of the King poster. Took pictures. We took a group picture in Times Square. Brian and Tommy both used me to get up which WASN'T FUN! So thanks a lot guys! I love you both too!!!! Rawr! It pissed me off.
Then we went to Hard Rock Café and I bought a pretty shirt. Ate a Caesar salad. Wore Tommy's jacket because mine wasn't warm enough. Then he took it back. The restrooms were so hilarious!! This woman would put the soap in your hands and turn on the faucets and give you paper towels and you could put perfume on yourself!! It was so great!!
Went to the hotel. Got rooms. Stuff happened. Too tired to go into details.
Day 2 - I think we went to Lincoln Center thing? Anyway, I'm going to say we did just for the sake of saying we did. Our schedule got mixed around since we arrived so late. We first went to Lincoln Center I think (I canNOT remember, this is so sad) and I saw Julliard, the best place ever for ballet peeps! (well most), and the Metropolitan Opera house. I was the only one in our group thing that took ballet. Oh, and Sarah overcame my stubbornness. Thanks again. :) Um, then we walked around and did tour thingy. Our tour guide was cute. ^_^
OH! And we went in St. John the Divine Cathedral and it was so b-e-a-utiful, I started crying because I'm such a dork. I really do think I lived in the Middle Ages in a previous life. (Dork here)
Ground Zero was just like a giant hole or something, with stuff all around. Took pictures of different things. We did stuff, I can't really remember much about the 2nd day except in the evening.
Went to Jekyll and Hyde's and it was great, they were like, "Milady, would you like something to drink?" and it was so great, I was like "MILADY! AHHH! *ecstasy*" haha since you know, the medieval thing...anyway. We then changed clothes for Broadway and I got quite paranoid...of things...
PHANTOM OF THE OPERA was so much better than expected (and that's saying a lot because my expectations were quite high). I nearly cried at the end AND the girl's name was Christine AND she took ballet! But I saw a lot of parallels besides those between me and her. Had to pee so bad by intermission...at least I was one of the first ones in the bathroom, thank God for that. And then we went back to the hotel I think...if not I can't remember what the hell happened.
Oh, I think we went to the Empire State Building sometime that day. I can't remember, like I said. As I said to Sarah just a few minutes ago, my brain is quite mush.
Day 3 - Got 2 1/2 hours of sleep. What fun. Took fun pictures. We went shopping then to Seaport thing, where I walked around with Tommy and ate with Tommy (Subway) and then we parted ways because I figured he was tired of me walking with him (I would be tired of walking with me too) and then I went to American Eagle Outfitters and bought a skirt, shirt and sandals for $70.58. SEVENTY BUCKS FOR THIS OUTFIT! The sandals alone were 20 bucks. How stupid is that.
Ahh! And sometime in there we went to Times Square to shop for an hour and 45 minutes I think it was..well I went with Tommy (my bestest friend. haha) and we went to Virgin music store to look for Naruto/Legend of Zelda/Phantom soundtracks and they didn't have them. SO we spent x amount of minutes searching for Colony. My God, guys are so stubborn. Tommy wouldn't ask for directions so *sigh* I had to (I swear to Buddha!) and this nice street vendor guy helped us. So we went there and I bought sheet music for Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata which is 5 pages long. Yay.
Then went to John's Pizzeria and eventually found a place to sit/eat.
Went to see Aida, which is a pretty plotless story or whatever but the songs were good.
Somewhere in there we went to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and Johnny Mac was scaring off birds - me, Rebecca and Emily I think got pictures of that, and I got a picture of his ice cream (the Ice Cream from New York as I dubbed it). The ferry was fun but the toilets were ghetto - you had to hold down the flusher thing until it flushed. HAH!
The ride back!
Well. Where to start. We got off to a good start but as soon as we exited the Lincoln Tunnel our bus died. We all figured we ran out of gas but the bus driver started it up again but soon it died once more. We arrived at this truck-stop like place, a little convenience store like place with a huge eating area in another building next to it. Made myself comfortable there and talked with Liz, JT, Katie, Jon Meads, Andrew Heckathorn, Chris Griffin and...that's all I can remember.
Heh, funny stuff happened.
Then serious stuff happened and I got worried and nearly cried (for the 2398480234 time). So, we found out what happened was a broken water hose and we had to pile onto other buses. I sat next to Joseph Merkerson on the soul train...it was pure torture. Not sitting by him, just the fact that it was the Soul Train.
GUESS WHO GOT ANOTHER FLAT TIRE!!!!! BUS 1, the one I was on! So there was another 2 or 3 hours down the drain. Then I joined a small crowd over at this ancient machine near Roanoke, Virginia (the crowd included Tommy) and we watched people try to get things out of it but the small little crane was so ghetto..haha. In the end, this trombone guy (I forgot his name, JT help me out..short and blonde, not Moses) got a PURPLE Hot Wheels convertible. Haha, congratulations.
THEN! yet ANOTHER bus got a flat tire! (Bus 4 this time). So there we have it.
Time scheduled to be home: 3:00 PM
Time actually arrived: 4:something AM
Now I shall go; this entry is long enough.
(I like someone else now...someone I haven't in a while...and it's not Chris Griffin or any of my previous obsessions).
And I'm fixing my profile for my AIM screen name but be counting on a new one soon, I don't know, the xStarlitxTearsx isn't quite working out for me. Maybe just Starlit Tears or something...I dunno, it won't be anything different, just minus the x's, they're..whatever.
And, you people need to stop spreading rumors. It's not nice, and needless to say YOU NEED TO TALK TO THE PERSON before spreading them. Katie, I'm not talking about you, you weren't spreading it (she just told me what it was going around) but seriously...get a life and stop spreading stupid retarded rumors. Just stop.
I know I did before but I learned my lesson and I'm sorry. You won't hear anything from me ever again.
